"it's exceptionally hard to convince people to pay a higher price" - I am interested to learn more about this. How did you try to raise the price? The whole publishing industry since years is raising prices very successfully. And there are sole publishers who charge more than $10/month. So maybe we can learn more from what you've experienced. I wouldn't give up on pricing to soon.

How do most people consume the paid version of Baekdal Plus? Is it sent to them as a newsletter? Is it a PDF that they download? Or is it simply a web article where they have to enter a password to read it?

You mentioned that you launched in 2010 and that you were almost bankrupt by the time that you became profitable. How many years passed before you reached profitability?
